Updates on Mid Autumn Festival :)

Chinese Garden (Yu Hwa Yuan)

This year's theme is rather pleasing:

ANIMALS! (Roar roar, cheep cheep, miao miao~ Heeeeeee)

Chon & me had seen:

Prehistoric animals such as....

(Dinosaurs)

(Mammoth - Thought this is a family carnival/event & why is there killing, blood & gore?)

(Elephants)

(Chamaleon)

(Cute lil snails by the Noah's Ark)

(My favourite!!! Cute lil kittikittikitties!)

Now the weird stuff:

(Gorilla with hideous, downward pointing cone-shaped nipples!
*Roll eyes*)

(Chickens at the chinese wedding ceremony.What the?!)
(The 3-storey building at the background is magnificient though.
The biggest lantern I had ever seen!)

Before we leave, we bought a customised plastic artpiece from this very talented chinese artist:

He took only ten minutes to make this:

(Monkey with a bouquet of flowers holding pig. How romantic is that? :D )

See that two yellow stuff right beside the heart?

(The artist was kinda offended when I asked: What is THIS?!)

Those are actually gold ingots!!!! (Cheesy! I didn't request for it hor!!!)

I go...ermmm... "Yuan bao (ingots) ah? For what huh?"

He showed me thumb-up immediately and

said " Yu'wan bao hao!Yu'aw qian!" in this quirky chinese accent
(Literally translated as "Ingots are good. Represent wealthiness")

In my heart I was saying, " Fuck it, why didn't u mention earlier? U should have replace all the flowers with the ingots!!!!"

For those who are interested in admiring "animals" or ahem, buying a $10 artpiece that can keep ur $$$ rolling in, do visit the Chinese Garden before 25th Sept!
